Equipment Hire

Important changes to equipment hire:

Equipment can now be picked up on friday afternoons and the hire runs to the next friday afternoon. This is to simplify the process.

If you want to hire any of our equipment, please read the terms and conditions below and fill in the disclaimer form.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Items are available for loan for one week, this now runs from Friday afternoon to Friday afternoon.
  2. Item loans must be collected in person at the time arranged with the photoSoc representative and must be returned the following week.
  3. You must have completed the booking disclaimer form which should be handed to the photoSoc representative upon collection.
  4. In order to loan equipment you must submit a request email to us. This can be done via the form above.
  5. You must include in your message the equipment you wish to book, and the week you wish to book it. You must also have completed a Booking Disclaimer (reqs. Adobe Acrobat Reader), which should be handed to us on collection of the equipment. You should also include your name, mobile contact number, and if you live on or off campus.   6. Once approved the equipment will be marked as booked on the website. Equipment will be loaned on a first come first served basis.
  7. You must be a fully paid member to the society to borrow equipment.
  8. NEW: There is a standard charge of £1 for all borrowed equipment*. This should be paid to the photoSoc representative upon collection of the equipment.

*This charge excludes the borrowing of Digital SLRs and Studio Equipment for non-society events. Digital SLRs can be hired for £3/week including 1 lens and memory card. A standard charge of £15 will be incurred to borrow the studio equipment for up to 48 hours.
